In the course of her 10 years lasting work as a desktop publisher in Düsseldorf, Cornelia Dörr got in touch with photography in the early nineties. She participated in several renowned workshops, where she came to know the many-sidedness of photography. Her close contact with the nature induced her to pursue this direction. In 1997 she was admitted to  the Society of German Animal Photographers (GDT). After some initial publications in different media she decided to work as a freelance photo dsigner.

Since 2000 Cornelia Doerr works together with her husband Ramon, who also is a member of the GDT. Their photographic enthusiasm led them to many countries on different continents. They developed a special interest in pristine landscapes like the mountains of the Andes but also in culture regions of Europe. Their artisticaly demanding photography reflects the hidden beauties of nature. Light, colour and a high degree of creativity make their work stand out.

Their pictures are regularly awarded many prizes, for example the BBC Wildlife of the Year Competition, Nature's Best Magazine (USA) and the European Competition of the GDT. They work for national and international picture agencies and print media. Nikon (D2x) and Hasselblad panoramic cameras are their aquipment.
